Local Canadian Tire owners Dennis and Anne Beech officially announced their retirement as business owners with a $25,000 donation to the MRI Image Matters Campaign.

“The Pembroke Regional Hospital and the MRI campaign are very close to our hearts,” shared Dennis. “Staff, nurses and physicians at our regional hospital have been tremendous to us, and went above and beyond in their professionalism and care. This donation is a gesture of our gratitude to help the hospital help the people of Renfrew County who have supported Canadian Tire Centre.”

Dennis and Anne Beech have owned and operated the Canadian Tire Centre in Pembroke and Laurentian Valley for the last 18 years. After 12 years in the financial and publishing world and 40 years owning and running increasingly large and successful Canadian Tire Stores, the Beeches are looking forward to retiring at the end of August.

“We are honoured to receive this gift, that will help us realize the goal of MRI,” shared Foundation Chairperson, Barb Schoof. “Funding critical diagnostic tools such as this will help our nurses, physicians and staff better serve the people who need it most. From cancer diagnoses to sports injuries, or pre and post operative care, the MRI is an essential part of providing comprehensive healthcare, closer to home.”

With less than $275,000 remaining in the MRI campaign, our community is closing in on the goal of $4,500,000 to purchase and install an MRI.

If you and your family wish to help bring the MRI home to Renfrew County in support of comprehensive health care, closer to home, or have a fundraising idea, contact the Foundation Office (613) 732-2811 ext. 7408 or email [email protected].
