Scotiabank Contributes $10,000 Gift of Humanity to Black & White Gala 150

(Pembroke) Scotiabank in Pembroke has proven yet again that it is committed to strengthening our community through their support of our regional hospital. This is the eleventh year running that Scotiabank has been a lead sponsor of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Black & White Gala. To date, in addition to selling tickets, Scotiabank has contributed over $160,000 to advance local health care services.

“Investing in our local hospital enables us to contribute to the overall wellbeing of Renfrew County families and that is very important to us as a community focused bank,” remarked Stacey Kelly, Scotiabank Regional Manager.

The Gala was a sold out event last year and committee members are hoping for a repeat performance. For every ticket purchased before August 25th your name is entered into a draw to win a weekend Getaway for two to Prince Edward County, sponsored by Frank Carroll Financial.

Jointly announcing the sale of tickets at Scotiabank were Branch Manager Stacey Kelly and Gala Committee Members Melanie Henry, Nancy Warren, and Chairperson Laura Carroll.

“The Committee is very excited about our 12th Annual Black & White Gala,” said Laura Carroll, Gala Chairperson. “For $175, which includes a $100 charitable tax receipt, guests are guaranteed a fabulous evening. There will be entertainment by the Paperboys; one of Ottawa’s foremost party bands who have strong ties to the Pembroke area, and Ullrich’s will be on deck performing a culinary masterpiece that is sure to delight all palettes. There are limited tickets available, but we invite everyone to take part by attending or sponsoring the Black and White Gala 150!”

“In conjunction with Canada’s 150th, we hope the community will help us raise a record $150,000 at this year’s gala, with Scotiabank getting us off to a great start. Sponsoring the Gala is a wonderful way to ensure that charitable contributions stay local and impact the daily lives of friends, families and neighbours as proceeds from the Gala stay here in Renfrew County and strengthen health care services for local families,” remarked Nancy Warren, Executive Director of the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation.
