About the Valentine’s Dance
Started in 2013, the Pembroke Regional Hospital Valentine’s Dance is an annual tradition bringing together the community in for a fun evening of live music and silent auction. Helmed by a volunteer committee, the group works tirelessly to make sure everything from the décor to the silent auction is just perfect for a fantastic night out.
Supported by businesses from across Renfrew County (just like our rural hospital serves), the Silent Auction offers an array of merchandise, event tickets, food and home improvement items that make it the envy of the area, and hotly contested bidding wars often break our right before the closing bell.
For 2016, Bistro 900 and Travelodge Pembroke are hosting the evening on Saturday February 13, 2016. Doors open at 8PM and the first of two bands take to the stage at 8:30PM for a fantastic evening.
How the Valentine’s Dance Helps
Each year the Dance raises funds for projects critical to the accessibility and delivery of comprehensive health care closer to home. In the past the Valentine’s Dance has supported the MRI Image Matters, and this year all proceeds are being directed to the Better Equipped for a Better Future project. Funds raised are being used to upgrade and replace equipment across departments that are reaching the end of their capabilities.
