The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is excited to announce the Ace of Spades has been “caught” on week #17 in their second Catch the Ace lottery supporting the Cancer Care Campaign. The lucky winner, Joseph Caterino, took home an amazing prize of $74,753. Joseph’s winning ticket #Q-4862880 was drawn from the electronic generator and he chose Card #15 which revealed the Ace of Spades!
Joseph expressed his shock and excitement, telling the Foundation staff “I couldn’t believe it; I purchased a ticket online to support the hospital and never thought I would win, let alone win the Jackpot! I am so excited to purchase new windows and doors for my house.”
PRH Foundation Executive Director, Roger Martin says “In just 17 weeks, the lottery has raised an incredible $117,467 for the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Care Campaign. This campaign will fund the expansion and upgrades to the Pharmacy and Chemotherapy/ Medical Day Care units at PRH. Congratulations to our winner, Joseph, and thank you to everyone who supported this lottery and purchased tickets each week.”
PRH President and CEO Pierre Noel expressed his gratitude to all those who supported the most recent lottery, adding that all proceeds will benefit the many individuals who come to PRH for cancer care. “We are incredibly grateful to our community for supporting our hospital’s second Catch the Ace draw. Congratulations to Joseph on his lucky win and to all who will benefit from the outcome of this fundraising endeavour. It’s certainly a ‘win’ for everyone,” Mr. Noel said.
The PRH Foundation is happy to announce they will be hosting a third Catch the Ace lottery very soon! Leigh Costello, Community Fundraising Specialist, adds “We are so thrilled with the success of our first two Catch the Ace lotteries and how the community rallied to support this event and cause. We couldn’t have done it without all our volunteers and community supporters who helped us spread the word and sell tickets each week at our drive thru kiosk and at the hospital. We are so excited to see local residents get behind our Catch the Ace, as well as our other virtual events.”
Stay tuned for updates regarding “Catch the Ace 3.0” for the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation which will be announced on their Facebook page in the coming weeks. Mr. Martin adds, “Thank you to ALL our supporters, and we will see you when the deck gets shuffled for the next Catch the Ace folks. Stay Healthy & Stay Safe!”
