Walmart gifts community with $1,000

(Pembroke) Walmart recently presented the Pembroke Regional Hospital (PRH) Foundation with a gift of $1,000 towards the Cutting Edge Campaign. Community is among one of the core Walmart Pillars of Giving and for nearly 40 years, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation has committed to strengthening local communities worldwide.

Accepting the donation was PRH Foundation Executive Director, Nancy Warren and PRH Foundation Board Member, David Gen.

“Pembroke Regional Hospital serves approximately 100,000 residents across the County,” said Nancy, “and the generosity from businesses like Walmart helps ensure our community continues to receive the best care close to home.”

About the Cutting Edge Campaign

Funds raised for the Cutting Edge Campaign enables the PRH to expand the Hospital’s services by helping to off-set the cost of newly acquired state-of-the-art orthopaedic equipment and update the circa 1950’s surgical in-patient rooms.

Donations towards the Cutting Edge campaign are welcome at any time and can be made by contacting the Foundation Office at 613-732-2811 ext. 7408 or online.
