The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is honoured to have many community partners, be it organizations, businesses, or community groups. Today we wanted to celebrate the Knights of Columbus Council 1531.
Since the Foundation was created in 2001, the Knights of Columbus have been stalwart supporters of improving comprehensive health care closer to home. The Knights have made a multi-campaign pledge of $1,000,000 that carries across the Foundation’s projects. From the Building Campaign, Dialysis and Surgical Suites, to their most recent pledge of $150,000 towards the MRI Image Matters Campaign, this community group is energetic.
This September, the Knights of Columbus continue the much-lauded annual Pat Harrington Golf Classic. Occurring on the second Wednesday of every September, this year marks the 14th Anniversary and falls on September 12th. The tournament began in 2004 and was renamed two years later when former Grand Knight and District Deputy, and avid golfer, Pat Harrington passed away. Pat was resolute in his dedication to improving our Regional Hospital, and each year the tournament in his honour is held in support of equipping our hospital with the tools needed to best serve the over 95,000 in our catchment area.
With an armada of golf carts carrying eager and dedicated community leaders, this annual fundraiser is poised to be another thrilling day at the Petawawa Golf Club this September. We hope you will join the us and the Knights of Columbus on the links, as we work towards Equipping Excellence at our regional Hospital.
