Why Now
A bold vision
for our hospital
With nearly a quarter of Renfrew County residents over 65, Pembroke Regional Hospital is the critical anchor for specialist and emergency care in our region. As a mid-sized rural hospital, we deliver services no other county hospital provides — yet increased responsibility means increased strain on our budget.
We rely on the generous support of our community to continue to innovate and expand. Your gift today makes a direct difference in the lives of your neighbours.

Campaign Priorities
Three ways your gift
transforms care
Your donation fuels three interconnected investments that will strengthen every aspect of how PRH serves our community
One database. One patient record. Better care across every provider in the region.
- No more paper records, repeated questionnaires, or duplicate testing
- Seamless appointment booking, prescription management, and care continuity
- lets patients access their health information and review that information to make sure it is correct, which reduces errors in their health record
- allows patients to view results of certain tests as soon as the results are available, creating a more educated discussion with their physician, and cuts down on the stress that goes with waiting sometimes.
- Connects PRH into Ontario's largest shared regional health information network — including all Ottawa and Renfrew hospitals
- A powerful tool for attracting new physicians and specialists to our community
After 15 years and more than 15 000 cases per year, our vital scanner is due for renewal.
- PRH relies on a CT Scanner daily and says that without one , Emergency Department would not be able to operate as they do today.
- Our current machine delivers non-urgent scan results in 4–5 weeks, vs. 6 months in the City
- A new scanner means improved image quality, faster scan times, and better diagnostic accuracy
- Ensures our clinicians can continue saving lives without interruption
- Maintains and improves wait times for the entire region
Better equipment means better outcomes — and a healthier community for all.
- Modernized equipment boosts efficiency and reduces wait times
- Improved staff safety and satisfaction helps attract more clinicians
- Patients receive better diagnoses, treatments, and health outcomes
- Upgrades span our surgical suites, oncology, dialysis, maternity, and mental health units
- PRH delivers 7,000 surgeries, 2,500 chemo treatments, and 3,600 dialysis sessions annually
PRH By the Numbers
The heart of
Renfrew County's health
"I felt very lucky to be able to receive all my chemo treatments here in Pembroke. The hospital staff became my family during my treatments."
— Garland Wong, Stage 3 Cancer Survivor
