(Pembroke) Ensuring local families’ well-being comes naturally for EGM Insurance. The local business recently donated $10,000 towards the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation Black and White Gala, which took place on Saturday, October 13th at the Normandy Officer’s Mess at Garrison Petawawa.
Over the 75 years of providing insurance and financial services, the EGM Team of insurance brokers has built a strong reputation for giving back to their community. “Through attendance of the Gala and volunteering their time to help set up for the night, the EGM team has been dedicated supporters of our annual Gala, since it began over a decade ago,” remarked Nancy Warren, PRHF Executive Director.
“EGM Insurance’s continued commitment to our Regional Hospital affirms their devotion towards enhancing and supporting our local communities,” Ms. Warren continued.
Commenting on their tradition of giving, Lisa Edmonds, CEO of EGM Insurance, said, “A core belief that drives the whole EGM team to give back is that giving back makes our community a better place for families to raise their kids, for businesses to thrive, and for our elderly to retire with comfort and dignity. Our EGM family firmly believes that we all benefit from supporting local access to medical services and treatments like MRI, cancer treatments, dialysis, and orthopaedics.”
EGM Insurance was among 6 philanthropic community businesses and organizations to make $10,000 Gifts of Humanity towards the black tie affair. With sponsorships, ticket sales and proceeds from the Starlit Night raffle, the Gala netted nearly $140,000 – a Gala record, since its inaugural event 13 years ago.
