Mulvihill Family makes surprise pledge to complete MRI Image Matters

During the 10th Annual Black & White Gala on Oct 17th, the Mulvihill family announced that they would complete the MRI campaign, ensuring a healthier future for all of Renfrew County.

“We must always consider the future when considering our health and each other,” said Brian Mulvihill. “Our community has been stalwart supporters of us, and this is our opportunity to help provide for and invest in the individuals, the families, and the neighbours that make our region so vibrant.”

Publicly launched in 2012, the MRI Image Matters campaign has been a rallying point for improving regional health care access for the over 100,000 people that live, work and play in the Upper Ottawa Valley.

“Our community benefits when we pull together,” shared Pembroke Regional Hospital Chairperson Barb Schoof. “The initial Mulvihill Drug Mart sponsorship of $10,000 was a celebration of the human spirit. Their substantial donation tonight to complete the campaign honours every individual in our region and is a reflection of the campaign itself. This technology was made possible by the tremendous effort of individuals choosing to invest locally.”

“Each and every one of us possess the ability to help each other,” said Gala Chairperson Lisa Edmonds. “Together we are made stronger by local businesses like Mulvihill Drug Mart, who are investing in the well-being of our community. When we support locally, we are giving ourselves the tools to build a brighter future for everyone.

With the MRI now operating at the Pembroke Regional Hospital, the community is invited to the Best Western Pembroke Inn and Conference Centre at 5p.m. for a celebration on October 29th.
