OVER 500 PEOPLE VISITED OVER THE HOLIDAYS, RAISING
$7,800 FOR HEALTH CARE
(Pembroke) – The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is celebrating the efforts of Kirk and Lynda Dobbs who opened their home to 500 people in a two day fundraiser for rural health care.
“Our Foundation is touched by the generosity shown by the Dobbs who suggested and hosted this fundraiser,” said PRH Foundation Board Member Dave Gen. “When we come together as a community, many ideas can happen and as a result, we are creating a better future for everyone that our regional hospital serves.”
Kirk and Lynda Dobbs transformed their home into a Winter wonderland and hosted guests over two days in December and January respectively. Many of the attendees who came on the first day in December returned in January with friends and partners to marvel over the decorations as well as the exquisite home.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us,” shared Lynda. “Kirk and I had a terrific time hosting, and have enjoyed reading the fantastic comments in the guest book. It was a treat to bring so many people into our home for such a good cause.”
The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation supports the regional health care services available to the over 100,000 people in its catchment area. Proceeds from the Dobbs Festive Family Home Tour are being directed to the upgrading and replacing equipment across departments at our rural regional hospital.
