Canadian Nuclear Laboratories has generously donated $5,000 to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s Cancer Care Campaign.
“We are so very thankful for the generosity of organizations in our community like CNL who recognize the importance of having state-of-the-art healthcare services right here close to home,” said PRHF Executive Director Roger Martin. “As equipment and supplies are not funded through the government, the hospital depends on the generosity of the community to purchase these essential items.”
CNL will also be the title sponsor for the PRH Foundation’s first annual Heroes Run for Healthcare in support of the Cancer Care Campaign which will be held in downtown Pembroke on May 14th. Registration for this event is now open online at www.heroesrunforhealthcare.ca.
The Cancer Care Campaign, which was launched in January of last year, will fund new equipment as part of the upgrades and expansion taking place in the chemotherapy and medical daycare units, as well as the pharmacy at PRH. Some of the necessary equipment includes treatment chairs, warming blankets, pharmaceutical refrigerators, biosafety cabinets and scrub sinks.
