The Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation is excited to announce Canadian Tire as a Gift of Humanity Sponsor for the October 17th Un-Gala @ Home – a fine dining experience, coupled with a virtual concert, to benefit the Pembroke Regional Hospital.

Ray and Barb Pilon, owners of Pembroke’s Canadian Tire store are both proud to help with this community fundraising event. Ray was born and raised locally and Barb has roots here dating back to the late 1800’s as well. “Our community has been very supportive of our Pembroke store, 2019 was a record sales year, and we are thrilled to be able to support this wonderful cause and give something back,” said Mr. Pilon.

As the Un-Gala Committee Chair, Laura Carroll said, “Our hope is that we can continue to expand upon our investment in local healthcare, and that others will continue to do so as well.”

The Un-Gala @ Home is an opportunity for ticket purchasers to enjoy their own gala dinner, while supporting their regional hospital. Un-Gala ticket holders will receive a sumptuous four-course dinner kit fully prepared by Ullrich’s along with an access key to enjoy the virtual show. Entertainment will feature testimonials from PRH health care workers, key sponsors and patients, as well as performances by Jason Blaine, Sierra Levesque, Ben & Gillan Rutz, PRH’s very own Dr. Margarita Lianeri and more. Ticket sales closed October 5th.

Proceeds from the Un-Gala @ Home support the Cutting Edge Campaign, which funds the much-needed upgrades of inpatient surgical floor. These renovations will improve the care and comfort of patients undergoing surgery at PRH in the future.

Foundation Executive Director Roger Martin echoed Ms. Carroll sentiments, and adds, “We are very blessed to have the support of this local business, coupled with their staff at Canadian Tire Pembroke.” Thank you all very much!
