(Pembroke) Petawawa Rotary Club recently donated $4,000 to the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation’s $2.5 million Cutting Edge Campaign – bringing the total raised thus far to over $1.4 million.
“Helping to build our Community and save lives is what we aim to do as Rotarians,” said Al Freethy, Petawawa Rotary Club President. “The money we raise gets reinvested where it’ll make the greatest impact for the families, friends and neighbours in our own backyard.”
To date, the Petawawa Rotary Club has invested over $135,000 towards advancements at the Pembroke Regional Hospital – from helping to fund a CT scanner, to contributing to the Hospital expansion, and bringing dialysis treatment to the Region. This latest gift to the Cutting Edge Campaign will help fund the reconstruction of the in-patient surgical floor and support the regional Orthopaedic Program.
“The Petawawa Rotary Club’s story of dedication and giving to the PRH Foundation is one of inspiration for the achievements that we have accomplished together,” remarked Nancy Warren, PRH Foundation Executive Director. “Now with $1.1M remaining to raise for the campaign, I ask everyone to consider the PRH Foundation as an avenue to enrich the lives of families in our Region.”
