Connect to Care Radiothon Raises $49,800 for Cancer Care Campaign

On March 4th, residents across the Ottawa Valley tuned in to 104.9 MyFM as the Pembroke Regional Hospital Foundation (PRHF) hosted its 4th annual Connect to Care Radiothon and raised an amazing $49,800 for the Cancer Care Campaign, which will help fund the expansion and upgrades of the Chemotherapy and Medical Day Care Unit at the Pembroke Regional Hospital!

Since gathering restrictions and COVID safety measures prevented us from getting together at the Pembroke Mall as we have in the past, this year’s Radiothon took place exclusively on MyFM, online and with the help of our many “Community Ambassadors” who raised much needed funds leading up to event day. “We couldn’t have done it without all our amazing ambassadors, sponsors and donors. Thank you for helping us reach our goal and supporting your local hospital,” said Leigh Costello, Community Fundraising Specialist for the PRHF.

“Despite challenges in today’s climate we are once again blown away by the support received from our community,” said Roger Martin, Executive Director, PRHF.

Thank you to Connect to Care Radiothon sponsors: 104.9 MyFM, Frank Carroll Financial, Bennett Electric, OK Tire Pembroke and Lindsey Cupelli – The Mortgage Advisors.
